Businesses are recognizing the value of project management beyond its traditional use in information technology. This specialization is designed to offer the core business knowledge and project management skills you need to apply traditional project management techniques to cross-functional business initiatives. It is built around the competencies in “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge” (PMBOK® Guide), a globally recognized standard for project management. Because Capella is a Registered Education Provider of the Project Management Institute (PMI), you can earn your bachelor’s in IT and professional development units (PDUs) from PMI at the same time. People who choose this project management specialization are often interested in pursuing project lead or coordinator positions in corporations, consulting firms, or government agencies.

Residents of Arkansas must complete Arkansas general education requirements.
