For postsecondary IT instructors seeking advancement, or IT professionals who want to teach or consult, this doctoral specialization offers advanced study to help achieve your goals. It combines in-depth analysis, critical thinking, research, and scholarly writing with skill development in advanced teaching techniques and curriculum design. The specialization was developed with input from participants of the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group for Information Technology Education (SIGITE).

Residency Requirements: As a doctoral learner you will attend residential colloquia in addition to your online courses. At specific milestones in your program, you will attend three colloquia, each one week in length. See residential colloquia details.
